Here are some pics of the day-trip Jordi and I took on Saturday.  We took a 2 3/4 hour drive up to Truckee.  About 10 miles south of town is Squaw Valley ski resort - home to the 1960 Olympic Winter games.  There's a great paved trail that connects Squaw Valley to Tahoe City on Lake Tahoe.  It's about 4 miles and follows the Truckee River.  We had lunch in Tahoe City and checked out the public pier, the Truckee River Damn, and Fanny Bridge (named because of all of the people hanging over the bridge looking at the huge trout feeding near the damn.  We had a great time!
